Welfare Services

This photoset has 16 pictures
There is a specific Welfare Service within Dublin Civil Defence but many other units have "Welfare" equipment. "Welfare" units are for the use mainly by DCD crews themselves and other emergency services while working at an incident or training exercise for rest and refuel but also for casualties and members of the public at a major incident where their welfare is to be maintained. Welfare units can be deployed almost anywhere as equipment and volunteers can be transported either by trucks, 4x4's, the all terrain Hagglunds' vehicles or by boat if required.
