DCD provided fire cover at the Dundalk v Legia Warszaw in the Champions League Qualification at the Aviva Stadium last night.
DCD provided Rescue Boats for Ironman in Scotsman Bay, Sandycove. Five taken from the water and handed over to St Johns Ambulance. Well done to the St Johns Ambulance medical crew, great to sea both organizations working together. DCD also provided assistance to the Gardai. 46 DCD volunteers on duty and special thanks to Derek and Maura for providing breakfast.
A Crane was used to lift the pontoon in sections from the river Liffey. Thanks to CD from Carlow and Laois for the use of their pontoons.
DCD provided medical cover, rescue boats, spotters on the bridges and built the pontoon for the start of the race. 22 volunteers, 3 ambulances, 3 rescue boats and our command & control we're involved in the duty.
Phase 1 of the build of the pontoon platform to be used as the start of the 96th Liffey Swim was completed this evening. The pontoon was assembled in Poolbeg and floated on the Liffey up to the Jenny Johnson. Phase 2 will be tomorrow when the pontoon will be floated up to the start point beyond the Rory O'Moore bridge.
Update on the story of the man who had the cardiac arrest on Croagh Patrick. He was sitting up in bed in Galway Hospital having tea and a slice of toast at 18.30 Sunday evening after getting 3 stents put in. This is a great success story for all involved in this successful outcome, Civil Defence, Irish Coastguard Rescue 118, OMAC and Mountain Rescue.
DCD SAR Team were on duty for Reek Sunday on Crogh Patrick. Well done to the Team for their medical intervention in a cardiac arrest. Also great organisation, command and control as always by OMAC

Busy day for DCD Medical Team at the Clontarf Half Marathon. Well done to the Team involved in the Cardiac Arrest with the patient ROSC after two shocks and good CPR. Also the DFB crew that responded were great. Great Team work by all.
