DCD provided Medical Cover at the Commemoration Ceremony at Arbour Hill yesterday.
DCD provided Medical Cover right across the City today. We had 84 Volunteers, 11 Ambulances, 8 support vehicles and 1 rescue boat crew on duty. Busy day for our Volunteers and 12 Transports to hospital.

DCD provided Medical Cover at the Garden of Remembrance today. Well done to our Monday Night Casualty Unit for providing Volunteers in what is a very busy weekend for Civil Defence.

100 Volunteers from Civil Defence marched from McKee Army Barack to the Memorial Grave of the Executed Leaders from the 1916 Rising in Arbour Hill today. Special thanks to Ronnie from the O.N.E. for a terrific history lesson at the Graveside and in the Garrison Church. We would highly recommend that more people to visit this historical site.

Dublin South Division had an exercise involving a simulated bus crash with 12 casualties in our Belgard Training Centre tonight.
Cork CD made a presentation to Second Officer Paul Morgan from DCD for the donation of his son Paul to Cork CD.
47 Volunteers from DCD Central Division took park in a simulated major accident between a double decker bus and a truck in the OBI last Tuesday night. Great to see the AFS and Rescue Services working together.
DCD Open Day for new Recuits was held today at our HQ. Thanks to the 120+ people that turned up and special thanks to DCD Volunteers that assisted today.
Members of DCD were invited to attend the SDCC Council Meeting this afternoon were a Motion by the Mayor Sarah Holland and Counciller Emer Higgins Praising the efforts of DCD within the Community was passed by the Council.
Brian McGavin was presented with his 10yr Service Medal by ACDO Fergus Byrne and members of DCD Central AFS. Unfortunately Brian was unable to attend the Presentation Ceremony.
